So today it is freezing drizzle in Colorado. The skies are gray and the mountains, covered with gray clouds. At first, the whole world appears gray to weary eyes. But as my awareness grows, in the grayness, every other color stands out. And slowly, I begin to see the gifts within the gray - the beauty of golden leaves touching the gray skies, glorious green branches, powdered white snow falling on red roofs and bright green countryside. The incredible gift of grayness is the brilliance of color to be found within it. I will be more attentive to God's gifts in my life today, if I place my focus there. I will no longer see with weary eyes on this day. Instead, I will adjust my focus to see the world as His child, with the eyes of a child, seeing with pure humility.
