In these times of intermittent fear, I try to remember that the story of my world is not the same story that others live in. We each live in our own bubble of reality, softened by light kisses, hardened by news of violence and struggle, and depending upon what is on our consciousness today - our world can be calmed by prayer. When we go out and approach another, their worlds are different than ours - their experiences of reality are different because their stories or perceptions about this reality are different. I try to honor that each person's story is different than my own. So today when you approach others, approach them from a place of peace and prayer. With all that is breaking out in the world this day, a peaceful soul is a soft place for a struggling human being to lie.
