THE INTERIOR JOURNEY OF TRANSFORMATION
(Retreat series for general spirituality groups)

#1 “Sacred Transformation – Overview Beginning the Interior Journey”
The Interior Journey is one of stillness, deep prayer and listening to God. This retreat speaks to how the journey of sacred transformation is seen throughout all of God’s creation. Careful attention is given to beginning the journey, setting up the structure of prayer and journaling. Concepts such as truth, faith, the role of the mind and heart in prayer are discussed.

#2 “The Two Worlds – The World You See and The World You Don’t”
A new reality unfolds when one opens to understanding the infinite nature of God and the true Self. Discussion of how the world we live in can keep us from the true realities of God – as we learn ways of becoming more conscious to God’s presence in our world through the experience of Him. Is there a difference between the world of God and the world of Man? Is there a world of enlightenment? How does one find the Kingdom of Heaven?
#3 “Facing Our Obstacles – The Obstacles of Fear and Loss”
How does fear impact your interior journey? Are you fearful of God? Focus is given to the difference between false self and true Self, and the temptations of the ego/false self. Opportunity is created for introspection and reflection. Learn how to recognize fear as an obstacle to deepening your prayer. Learn how fear of loss impacts faith and experiencing God in your life.
#4 “Listening to God – Learning to Listen to God's Voice”
Beginning with a day of awareness of God in His myriad of forms, journaling and practice of prayer and reflection continues. Instructions are given to intensify listening to a depth where one can hear God’s voice. The day will consist of practice, reflection and discussion to reinforce what one hears and to maintain unyielding faith.

#5 “Embracing Change: Being the Change You Wish to See”
Why do we resist change? How do we fulfill God’s requests when As the journey continues, and the Voice of God becomes stronger to those who have begun the journey, how do we apply what is said to us and embrace purpose and meaning in our lives? How do we create the space for the changes that transformation by God brings to one’s life? Lectures, discussions and time for deep prayer and listening is built into this day.

#6 “Following God to Peace” With the wish to follow God’s will and the passion this journey creates, one is able to apply this passion and God’s will into serving Him. How does one deal with the conflicts that appear between the will of the mind and the will of God? Time is spent in reflection on the journey so far, and the positive changes listening to God has made in one’s life. Time in deep prayer and listening is provided.

THE INTERIOR JOURNEY TO UNION
(Retreat series for specifically for religious and clergy)

 

#1 “Experiencing the Way; The Cloud of Unknowing”
The Interior Journey begins with reference to this beautiful writing of depth and eternal wisdom. Our personal journey with God is an experience of wonder and awe – yielding infinite gifts. This retreat speaks to how the journey to Union requires emptiness, openness and awareness. How to create space in one’s life for this journey is addressed through lecture, reflection and discussion.

#2 “Sacred Transformation”
The Interior Journey is one of stillness, deep prayer and listening to God. This retreat speaks to how the journey of sacred transformation is seen throughout all of God’s creation. Careful attention is given to beginning the journey setting up the structure of prayer and journaling. Concepts such as truth, faith, the role of the mind and heart in prayer are discussed

#3 “Listening to God”
Beginning with a day of awareness of God in His myriad of forms, journaling and practice of prayer and reflection continues. Instructions are given to intensify listening to a depth where one can hear God’s voice. The day will consist of practice, reflection and discussion to reinforce what one hears and to maintain unyielding faith.

#4 “Reflecting on Listening to God”
A day of space and practice to reflect, pray and deeply listen to God’s Voice. Discussions are offered to work on technique and to answer questions. Private mentors are available during reflection to help direct participants.

#5 “Untangling Ego”
The nature of the egoic mind is explained along with its role and function. Examples are given of how the ego appears in its many forms. We will reflect upon how the ego affects one’s journey learning how to use awareness to help to rise above it. Discussion and reflection time will be provided.

#6 “Following the Will of God”
With the listening to God’s will and the passion this journey creates, one is able to transmute this passion and God’s will into serving Him. How does one deal gracefully with the conflicts that appear between the will of the mind and the will of God? Time is spent in reflection on the journey so far, and the positive changes that listening to God has made in one’s life. Time in prayer and deep listening is provided.
